Your local auto parts store can sell you the simple tools needed to help you remove the windshield trim without damaging the trim or the glass.

Removal and Installation Remove the trim panel. Release the clip. Release the locating tabs. Remove the trim panel. Disconnect the exterior mirror control switch electrical connector. Disconnect the exterior mirror electrical connector. Release the clip. Release the electrical connector. Disconnect the electrical connector. Remove the exterior mirror. Remove the bolt. If equipped, remove the screw. To install, reverse the removal procedure.

Goof off will remove many adhesives including this one without damaging auto paints.
This is not an easy job. You have to remove the trim pad first. TAke it to the auto trim shop.
Cars need an exterior window trim to give the vehicle a new look. The trim makes the windows more smooth and shiny, and less susceptible to scratches and stains.
The dash has to be removed which is a HARD job. I suggest taking it to an auto trim ahop.
I can tell you how to remove it. You just pull it off. But after pulling mine off I am left with some very very very stubborn adhesive marks where the trim was. If you find out anything on the right way to remove them please let me know. Thanks lucas_carlin@yahoo.com
