My wisdom tooth is erupting I can see half of the tooth, the other half is still behind gum and I to have pain and swelling, but no sign of infection. The tooth is straight, no decay and I am just riding out the pain taking paracetamol plus, aspirin or ibuprofen and codein
You can take Nurofen to help reduce the swelling from a tooth abscess. You will also need to get an antibiotic from your dentist which will not only help bring the swelling down but will also clear up the infection.
i had that happen and it was an absest tooth go to a dentist right away its an infection that needs to be treated and it can spread to other teeth
antibiotics doesent remove facial swelling. You mustuse an antiinflamatory medicament such us paractomol or voltaren.Antibiotics are used to treat only the infection and not the swelling
tender tooth with swelling jaw means infection?
Antibiotics reduce infection, not pain. If the dentist didn't prescribe any pain medication, you can take over-the-counter medication such as Moutrin, Aleve, Tylenol for pain. (I like Aleve because it also helps with the swelling.)
You probably have an infection. It may be from an upper tooth. The infection is causing pressure and swelling. You need to see a dentist right away to find and treat the source of the infection. If left untreated, the infection can spread and cause severe complications.
Facial swelling can be caused due to many reasons. One of the top most reason is pain in the gum or tooth. In such cases when the pain is extreme it can cause face sweeling. You can treat it with cold compress or get it treated by expert dentist. @charlestonoralandfacialsurgery
Typically a dentist will not do the procedure until the swelling goes down. The dentist will usually prescribe an antibiotic first, to help bring down the swelling and reduce any pain.
Facial bruising and swelling are fairly common after dental work. The reasons for bruising include the instruments used to extract the tooth, and the pulling and tugging that are involved with extraction.
yes it will reduce swelling and feel good but you're going to need a root canal
Upon visual examination, the dentist may find signs of infection or swelling in the area where the tooth is present or only partially erupted. Dental x rays are necessary to confirm tooth impaction.
