Well, this depends upon what your "something" is. You can try putting an old or rustic stain if it is wood. You can also beat it up a little. You might even want to add burn marks to it as well.

Dirt. All stone is actually pretty much the same age (i.e. "older than dirt"), but the big difference is how much dirt has accumulated on the outside. Rubbing new stonework with dirt (or charcoal, or something of that nature) will automatically make it appear older.
