The dealer can disable the passenger side only chime (Canada). Done through the computer set up. Don't try to disconnect wires at the seat belt itself; they are interconnected to the passenger air bag using magnetic switches.

The best way to turn off the seat belt reminder in 07 Impala is by putting on the seat belt. This will automatically turn off the reminder.
