∙ 9y agoThere are multiple methods to determining and isolating the cause(s) of instrumentation failure. The first and simplest are disconnecting the sensor and checking for response. The other steps may involve pulling and checking the cluster for operation. Other tests may require the use of a multimeter to check for circuit integrity.

replace the alternator if your system isn't charging.
more than likely you have a blown fuse in the fusebox for the power windows.
Red is hot, black is not.
I dont think there is a fuse for it. My speedometer stopped working in my cutty too. Its a cord that they have to replace. Take it to a shop, they'll tell you.
Yes, if the blower isn't working. If it turns out to be the fuse, and it blows again, you probably have a bad blower motor.
Possibly a bad ground in the rear wiring harness somewhere.
Because its a POS.. j/k could be a bad fuse/relay or the motor is bad. but serious its a POS..
I have an '87 Cutlass Supreme Broughm and my rear-defog doesnt work either but my wipers are working. My power door locks, left signal light and power seat do not work either. My 4-way hazards do work though. I am hoping that someone can tell me which fuse this might be,
This is what I have had to do for my 94 cutlass supreme. Hold the hood release wire lever open from inside the car with a something - a screwdriver or some such thing. Then just pull up on the hood and voila, it releases the latch.
Low coolant? Cooling fan not working? Water pump not circulating water? System airbound? Radiator plugged or restricted? Thermostat not fully opening?
The best way to find out is go to your local auto parts store, ask for a haynes or chiltons manual on your vehicle. This will tell you everything you need to know about working on your vehicle.
