Just done one on a 2003 HDI SW. Pump is located inside the front bumper at the driver's side. To access it you need to remove some of the fasteners that hold on the plastic inner wheel arch so that the front part can be prised open. The pump is located at the base of the water reservoir (just trace the rubber pipes back). Pull off the two pipes and prise off the electrical connector. The pump is only fixed to the reservoir by its inlet so simply wiggle it out of the rubber grommet (be prepared to catch the washer fluid). Refitting is just the reverse.
Hi, The motor is held in place by 3 securing fastners. You have to drill out the centre of each fastner as they are sealed rivets. Its easily done and once drilled the motor can be pulled away from its location. unclip the electrical plug and replace onto new unit. You will have to use nuts and bolts to secure the new motor.
not sure if a partner is the same but I asked the same question to a dealer regarding the 407 SW rear wiper arm as mine was not positioned correctly and was told they could only be removed by breaking off and replaced with a new arm!
Pull the old one off and Push the new one on, That simple :)
You can change the wiper blades by removing the retaining clip to the wiper blade arm. The wiper blade will come off and can be replaced.
Take a close look at where your wiper blades attach to the wiper arm to try to determine what type of attachment it is. Then see sources and related links below to view videos for the various wiper arm attachments.
Remove the wiper arm retaining clip. The retaining clip will be just below the wiper arm connection. Hold the retaining clip in and the wiper arm will come off.
Take it to autozone, they change it for free. If not you turn the wiper so its perpendicular to the wiper arm and push down.
Under wiper arm flap is a grub nut, Undo nut and use a Wiper arm removal tool (there not expensive approx £10) Remove Arm and Replace with New
get a wiper removal tool and it goes under the arm and you just pry the arm up off the splines to take it off.
This is pretty simple. Just turn on the wipers and stop them while the arm is in the middle of the windshield or there about. Then just change as any other wiper.
buy a small wiper arm puller to pull the arm off the taper once the nut has been rmoved
Flip up the cover on the end of the arm and undo the 12 mm nut. Pry the arm off the wiper motor shaft and simply press new one on. Be careful to align the arm a little past the wiper arm rest and tighten.
open the rear glass look under the switch you will see a tiny slot press the release that is inside the slot with a small flat srewdriver, this will let you separate the switch from the handle you just pull hard, you will then have access to 12mm nut holding on the wiper arm. close the window hold arm with mall grips undo the nut , hope this helps
