Just done one on a 2003 HDI SW. Pump is located inside the front bumper at the driver's side. To access it you need to remove some of the fasteners that hold on the plastic inner wheel arch so that the front part can be prised open. The pump is located at the base of the water reservoir (just trace the rubber pipes back). Pull off the two pipes and prise off the electrical connector. The pump is only fixed to the reservoir by its inlet so simply wiggle it out of the rubber grommet (be prepared to catch the washer fluid). Refitting is just the reverse.
Hi, The motor is held in place by 3 securing fastners. You have to drill out the centre of each fastner as they are sealed rivets. Its easily done and once drilled the motor can be pulled away from its location. unclip the electrical plug and replace onto new unit.You will have to use nuts and bolts to secure the new motor.
Jack up the car and remove the driver's side front wheel.
Remove the wheel arch liner (by removing the push fit fasteners around the arch)
Un-screw the filler spout in the engine bay and remove the washer bottle from the wheel arch.
The pump pulls out and can then be replaced
Begin by removing the wiring harness from your fuel pump. Remove the fuel pump fuel line. Remove the fuel pump retaining bolts. Reverse the process to install your new fuel pump.
