How do you change a headlamp in a 1984 fiero?

the headlights are held on to the header with 3[?] clips in the back. these clips slide out and the headlight can be removed. If all you want to do is relamp the headlight if you open the hood and look down at the back side of the headlight you can see where the back side of the bulb protrudes from the light. grab that and turn it 1/4 turn counter clockwise and pull. the bulb itself will then be accessable. tern the bulb 1/4 turn counter clockwise and pull. When you install a new bulb it is important NOT TO TOUCH THE BULB WITH YOU'R BARE HANDS as the ouil on you'r hands yill cause the bulb to fail.

The Fiero headlamp is a sealed beam style unit that uses a common H6054 headlight. You can find cheap GE units at most all parts stores for around $5.

To replace it, first open the front hood and turn the little adjuster knob on the headlight until the headlight raises up. When it's all the way up, unplug the three wire headlight connector from the back of the light. Close the hood. Going around to the front of the headlight, you will see four small screws around the black holder. Remove them. You will have to work and jiggle the headlight shroud to get it out. Next remove the screws that hold the headlight itself. The one on the top and the one on the side with a white (possibly tan looking if it's worn with age) plastic piece is the headlight adjusters. Remove them also. The headlight should now slide out.

Replace with the new headlight, reinstall the adjusters, hold screws, and headlight shroud. Reinstall the headlight wiring. Turn the headlight knob until it lowers all the way back down. Switch the headlights on to ensure it lights up.

You can change the headlight, on your 1990 Chrysler LeBaron, by removing the headlight retaining screws. Remove the wiring harness. Reverse the process to install the new headlight.
