The cover and mirror assembly is connected by 2 plastic pins located behind the light lenses and a clip at the bottom. Gently pop off the complete assembly to access the lights or to replace cover. Caution should be used when removing as the mirror is only held in place by the door clips and the bottom plastic trim may easily snap. Pulling the assembly from the sides about 1/3 down from the top should cause the pins to snap out. Re- assembly is easy, simply align pins and apply pressure until the cover snaps in place. Then snap bottom clips in place applying pressure near the bottom of the light lenses. GM wants to sell you a complete visor assembly for $360 but found the parts I needed on line for about $30
