Sewing became much easier and quicker, instead of being made for each person, clothes were made in standard sizes. people bought clothes instead of making their own.

It gave women that could afford a sewing machine more time to do something other than sew. Also allowed them to make more dresses for themselves. Gave seamstresses a chance to take on more work, as they could finish it faster. Made the accuracy of stitching better.
it helped people make clothes faster i'm not good at history but i think the anwer i wrote above is right^^

You could sew and not prick your finger. Yes you can sew and not prick your finger but it has allowed women in olden days sew more quickly and more thoroughly and has led to the mass production of clothing.

The sewing machine was very important during the last hundred years (during a time that was known as the Belle Epoque). During this time, women were given more freedoms and abilities to do things as well. Women's lives were improved by the sewing machine because of a big advantage of time that was given to them. It allowed for women to produce clothes more than twice as fast as they were previously able to. Because of the sewing machine, more things became possible to make that was impossible before due to the lack of time and ability. Garments became cheaper because of the drastic decrease of time that it took to make them. We still experience a lot of these positive changes today as well.
