He didn't invent the sewing machine. He made improvements to previous models of the sewing machine which are still the basis of modern sewing machines such as, straightening the shape of the needle. Isaac Singer also produce the first commercially successful sewing machine.
yes because we still use sewing machines today so without the inventor we wouldn't be able to use them. if you use a sewing machine then yes - the inventor affects you
the sewing machine impacted America and New York because if the sewing machine was never invented, we would still be at the basics of making clothes. The need for clothing was needed for soldiers during the Civil War increased the use of the sewing machine in both factories and homes.
I got this sewing machine from my sweetheart for my birthday either in 1973, 74, or 75. It was a most wonderful gift. It was my first sewing machine. I still have it. It was a terrific mechanical sewing machine.
I have an sew easy 320 Husqvarna sewing machine. I received it as a gift, brand new, in either 1997 or 1998. Because it was a gift I do not know it's original value. Fifteen years of service and still working great!
It is not advised as the sewing machine is designed to work with fabric, a much softer and suppler material than cardboard. You would risk major damage to your sewing machine and possibly voiding any warranty you may still have on it.
Yes, you still need a sewing machine, as the overlock machine is designed simply to finish the edges of the fabric. Overlock machines do not go backwards, turn, zigzag, or anything stitch functions that you may need (depending on what you are sewing) You do not absolutely need a sewing machine if it's a quick and easy project (such as a repair, or a pillow), but for everyday use, you need both.
We purchased our Kenmore Sewing Machine Model 95 on 28 September 1967. My wife is still using it.
No it's not. I just purchased one and it will not see a patch on a thin leather vest. The machine is a good machine but if your looking for an industrial machine this is not the one for you. I thought it was when I bought it, but for 30 bucks I still have a great machine for my lite work!
Baby locks are still made in Japan.
I still own and operate my Kenmore Sewing Machine, Model Number 1931 (158.19310). It was my Christmas gift the first year I was married in 1976!
