The best beginner pencils for drawing are typically graphite pencils with varying degrees of hardness, such as HB, 2B, and 4B. These pencils offer a good range for shading and detailing, making them versatile for different drawing techniques.

A gross is a dozen dozen (12*12) so if you bought 3 gross you would get 12*12*3 = 432 pencils
Pencils are all marked on a European system called the degree scale where H is hardest and B is blackest.Pencils can be marked as;9H, 8H, 7H, 6H, 5H, 4H,3H,2H, H F,HB, B, 2B, 3B, 4B ,5B ,6B ,7B ,8B ,9BH pencils have a higher concentrate of clay than graphite, whereas the B pencils have a much lower percentage of clay.The B pencils make soft, dark marks, whereas the H pencils have a much harder, lighter mark.The F pencil stands for fine point, which is slightly harder than the HB making it a good writingpencil.
2a + 4b - 52a + 4b - 52a + 4b - 52a + 4b - 5
8b - 4b = 4b
5b = 21 + 4b 5b - 4b = 21 + 4b - 4b b = 21
Sketch pencils are available in all sorts of stores (as well as online). One could even purchase them at a supermarket nearby. It is best, however, to visit a local art supplies shop and check for pencils that are of better quality and that suit one's particular sketching style (people who press hard on the tip can work with HB pencils while others with a more delicate touch are often better off with 4B-0 pencils that are softer and release more graphite).
4b plus 7b plus 5 will equal 11b plus 5. When you have two variables that are the same you can add the two numbers with the variables remaining the same.
4b - 1 = -4 + 4b + 3first, simplify and add together what you can.4b - 1 = -1 + 4b4b = 4bbecause 4b is always equal to 4b, the answer is infinite.
Pencils are graded H (Hard) or B (Black). Hard pencils are best for fine lines (such as a draughtman might use), Black pencils are better for most types of drawing (and for shading in). An all purpose pencil is HB (just in the middle), but you can usually find H, 2H, 3H, 4H, B, 2B, 3B, 4B - and sometimes even higher numbers.
