A sensor could be the reason why a 94 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo fails to start. The crank position sensor is often the problem. You can try unplugging the sensor for several minutes and then plugging it back in to see if that fixes the problem.
Most common reason is the neutral safety switch, have you had trouble with your backup lights recently? Then it could be the issue.
First check and see if jiggling the transmission selector works, then see if it will start in neutral.
Those switches are expensive so look into cleaning yours if it still won't start.
These things don't just go out all together at once, you will have had problems starting for quite a while if it is the issue.
could be your neutral safety switch, turn the key just part way on, then put your Jeep in neutral and try starting it. I had this problem with my 1995 jeep cherokee.
Yes, this is possible.
need new starter or solenoid or starter relay. check the small wire on the lock clyinder and key is probely broken set of the securty system.
no that not it
The flashing lights are probably the factory alarm.
Check the timing in the caravan. It sounds like the timing has jumped, and the engine could backfire then not start, and could not even turn over.
you flooded it
What is it doing? ddus it turn over but just wont start?
Does it turn over? Does it have fuel, spark and compression?
my 1994 jeep larado turns over then dies out
sounds like you have a bad ignition switch or a bad starter solenoid
starter motor or ignition
Most likely, your steering lock has engaged. You simply need to turn the steering wheel in either direction while you turn the key and it will start right up.
check the neutral safety switch. Mine does the same thing. also you might not have reverse lights.
check the cranckshaft sensor and alarm system
Broken bulb, or the wiring is shot.
Does it turn over? Does it turn over?
Could be low battery power. Not enough to start the engine.
