The rings are gone. Or a cracked head. Do a compression test. Pressure should be around 140 lbs. Test all 4 on that side. If there is more then 10 lbs. diff. between all 4 you need motor work. To see if it's your rings or valves are bad. Get a squirt can with oil in it. After initial reading squirt about 6 squirts in plug hole , test again. If pres. goes up it's your rings. If it don't then it's your valves or head problems. Poss. valve guide covers also.
Either the spark plug needs to be tightened or the threads have been stripped out. Also the rings are shot to allow that much oil into the combustion chamber.
I have one in my 1988 Chevy K1500 with a 350.
Oil drain plug is just to the right side of the oil pan from the filter. Heads up, it is pointed sideways so when the plug is removed oil squirts waaaaay out there. Good luck catching all of it.
Non moving parts of an engine, to name a few are engine block oil pan oil plug spark plug rocker cover intake/exhaust manifold core plug ignition coil oil filter cylinder head Hope that helps some, ~Ashley
no,but you need to loosen it up or take it off to put it back on.
valve cover gasket
The oil drain plug on a 1994 Chevy 350 is on the underside of the motor. Look for a bolt in the very center of the bottom of the engine.
which plug? oil, coolant, vacuum, hydrolic, or spark?
It's not. You need to replace valve cover gasket on that side. Now if your engine is smoking out of the exhaust and running real rough then you may have piston problems on that cylinder causing oil to come out of the spark plug hole. Rebuild time.
Look for a plug or cap in one of the rocker covers.
if the oil is at the spark plug base the valve cover gasket is leaking. if the spark plug electrode is covered with oil the engine needs rings
It's usually a rubber plug in one of the rocker covers.
Replace the spark plugs and the spark plug wires. Replace the air filter. Replace the oil and oil filter. Replace the fuel filter.
No there should not be any oil where you plug your spark plugs into
The engine block coolant drain plug on a 350 Chevy Tahoe is above the oil pan, mid engine on driver's side
leaking spark plug wires can do it and also a clogged fuel filter. it could have a bad spark plug or a bad spark plug wire a bad coil pack or ecsesive oil leaking past the valve seal and its fouling a plug
Sounds like you need to give it a compression test.
