Chronic Heart disease is a disease which mainly causes the deterioration of the heart and its functioning. Heart disease is a common disease which is spread across the world and has been estimated as a leaing cause of death in the unted states. Its also been deduced that lowering bad cholesterol levels and controlling pre-existing conditions such as hypertension could lower the possiblilty of chronic heart disease. When a patient is normally affected by chronic heart disease, it is important he seeks enough treatment and in some cases it can be an emergency. People with old age need regular screening for heart disease as this can ensure longevity of life. Hope this helps.

Heart disease usually develops early in one's adult life, and continues to progress for decades, usually.

The first indications that there is a problem might be angina, or even a heart attack. Its chronic because it is usually present in young adults (but asymptomatic), and even if there ARE symptoms, they tend to slowly increase over several years & decades--giving it its chronic nature.

Sometimes heart disease it not so chronic, and people of all ages die with little to no warning--look up Sudden Cardiac Death.
