Then in March 1918 it changed its name to the Communist Party. Lenin led the Bolshevik faction of the Marxist Russian Social Democratic Party. Eventually the faction split from the RSDP to become the Bolshevik Party. After the Russian Civil War, it became the Communist Party.

Interesting discussion! The formation of political parties can both strengthen and challenge democracy. On one hand, they provide structure and choices for voters, but on the other, they can sometimes lead to division and partisanship.

it is criticised by me today April 27th 2009 as at the moment there is no democratic process as Gordon brown was not elected to A run the labour party or B run the country ! tony Blair was elected to run the country and ran for and won the party membership race ..... these 2 facts lead me to belive Gordon brown should not be the leader of the country as he has not been elected in a democratic way ...... this would be known as a dictatorship in other countries !
