A human circulatory system.

What level of organization is in the human heart?

The heart is an organ within the circulatory system. It is make up of different tissues working together to pump blood.

Does the heart work with the excretory system?

Yes, The excretory system, the body's built-in waste removal device, is closely tied to the circulatory system. As the heart pumps blood around the body, the blood carries fresh oxygen to various cells and organs, then picks up waste products like carbon dioxide, salt and urea. The circulatory system carries these waste component in blood, driven by the heart, to the main organ of the excretory system, the kidneys. As the waste products arrive, the kidneys perform a filtration process that removes hazardous toxins and products that the body can not use from water and nutrients that can be reclaimed and recycled. The kidneys return the reclaimed water back to the body, but mix the waste products into a liquid waste compound known as urine. The kidneys direct the urine to the bladder, where it is collected and held until it is either manually expelled or forced out by involuntary muscle contractions.

Is it true your heart is not part of your circulatory system when you're a baby?

No, however, when you are a fetus, the heart does pump blood to the lungs as there is no need; there is also a hole in the wall seperating the ventricles, which closes up as the baby develops and starts to pump blood. If this does not close up properly, this can lead to major heart problems.

What is the organization is cells tissue organs and organ system?

An organism is a living thing, such as a human or an oak tree. Organ systems make up the organism to achieve the processes it requires. Examples are the respiratory and circulatory systems. Organs are individual parts of the organ systems, e.g. the kidney is part of the excretory system, and the heart is part of the circulatory system. Tissues make up the organs, and are masses of cells of the same type. Muscle tissue makes up part of many organs. Cells are the basic units of life, for instance muscle cells make muscle tissue, and nerve cells make nerve tissue.
