On the 1.8 engine it's on the cylinder head front cover. One the 2.5 engine, it's on the rear of the cylinder head.

I don't know for certain for your specific application, but speed sensors are almost always located either on the transmission, or uses a wheel sensor. The first place that I would look on a Sentra is from below, and look for an electrical plug somewhere near where the right and left driveshafts that connect the wheels to the transmission.
If your newer Nissan still uses the same codes as my 96 a P1110 is a cam positioner sensor malfunction. The problem could also be elsewhere in the cam positioning electronics. Dean

It is called a APPS accelerator pedal position sensor. It is located on the front of the engine. It is the part that the throttle cables hook to.
If it is similar to the 2002, and I believe they are, It is permanently attached to the throttle body. To replace the sensor, you have to replace the whole throttle body.
