is it magnemizer or magmarizer? if magmarizer, you can also do this: once u've obtained hm08(rock climb) from prof. oak( after getting all 16 badges from both regions... he will ask you to go to mt. silver) go to cinnabar island and use rock climb there... if you follow the correct path to use the rock climb... you will reach the magmarizer... hope this helped! :)
The Magmarizer can be obtained by capturing Magbys. The Magbys will have a small chance of having the item so catch a lot.
The Magnet can be found on Iron Island in Pokémon Diamond. To get to the island board the boat in Canalave City.
You can find it in Cerulean Cave, which is open only after you beat all 16 Gyms.
The Treasure Hunter on the route near Undella Town sometimes has one. He's near the house that teaches your Pokémon the ultimate moves.
