Most (actually, all :3), are located along faults (long cracks in the earth) or by plate boundaries (where two plates meet) There are different types of boundaries, The strike-slip boundary is the one wich causes most of the earthquakes (A strike-slip boundary is where two plates are going in the opposite direction. They then rub against each other wich causes an earthquake!)
Some states do not have earthquakes because they are not located on or near fault lines.
it is at faults or cracks
Most earthquakes are caused by plates sliding aginst each other.
yes because most earthquakes are under the sea

the ring of fire
Most earthquakes and volcanoes are on the Pacific rim of fire.
around plate boundries.
The ring of fire
Earthquakes are usually located in between two tectonic plates.
Earthquakes occur most frequently along tectonic plate boundaries, such as the Pacific Ring of Fire which encircles the Pacific Ocean. Countries located in this region, like Japan, Indonesia, and Chile, experience a higher frequency of earthquakes. Additionally, regions along the Himalayas and the San Andreas Fault in California are also prone to frequent earthquakes.
In subduction zones.
most earthquakes are found around america
Earthquakes infrequently occur away from plate boundaries. Most earthquakes occur at plate boundaries because of the stress caused by the interacting plates.
Mexico is located in a seismically active region. On average, Mexico experiences thousands of earthquakes each year, but most are small and go unnoticed by people. However, Mexico does occasionally experience larger, more damaging earthquakes.
