The single click, that you hear when the starter switch is operated, is the solenoid making the high tension connection to the starter motor. If the starter motor doesn't turn over, you will need to check both the battery feed to the solenoid and the feed from the solenoid to the starter motor (this is typically a short length of braided cable). I have known this cable to corrode through. If it has, the easiest remedy, is to replace the entire starter motor.

The 1992 Saturn wiper motor is located on the firewall in the engine compartment. The wiper motor will be in the center of the firewall.

two. follow your spark plug wires form your engine to the other end and there are your two coil packs one is for cylinders 1/4 the other for 2/3
I think it is under the back seat. My car had a problem and the petrol was cut off and the breakdown bloke said it also affected the crank sensor. I am sure the garage said they did something under the back seat.
The starter on a 2000 Saturn SL is located on the bottom, left side of the engine. It is powered directly by the vehicle's battery.

Your problem is the starter solenoid. It may be a remote solenoid mounted on the inner fender well. You can easily check it by running a battery booster cable from the positive battery post to the starter side of the solenoid wiring (the heavy wiring). If the starter operates, the solenoid is bad.

The 1997 Saturn knock?æsensor is located on the back of the engine. The knock sensor can be removed by removing the wiring harness and the retaining bolts.
It is between the alternator and starter, on the firewall side of the engine, nearer to the passenger side of the car.
