What causes the climates on earth to stay about the same year after year?

because the earth orbits in the same pattern.

The revolution of the Earth's crust?

The earth's rotation is when it spins around its axis, while an earth's revolution is an complete circle around the sun which takes approximately 365 1/4 days which gives us a year

What is a measure of time defined by earths orbital motion?

The only thing the Earth orbits is the sun so the length of time it defines is 1 year. Hours, minutes and seconds were originally defined by the time it takes the Earth to spin on it's axis. One year can be expressed as hours, minutes and seconds but this time is gradually changing.

What year was Journey to the Center of the Earth made?

Journey to the center to the earth was made in the year 2008.

What motion of earth causes the cycle of tides that occurs each day?

The movement of the Earth around the Sun produces changes in both the duration and angle of the sunlight reaching any particular location. Because the Earth axis (the line around which it spins) is tilted with respect to the flat plane of its orbit, different latitudes will receive more solar energy in some parts of the year than others. This is not caused to any great extent by the changing distance between the Earth and the Sun (this only varies by about 3% during the year). The tilt causes one hemisphere to receive much more solar radiation (long days, more direct angle) during a part of the year, while the opposite hemisphere receives correspondingly less. During the spring and fall, there is not much difference. But from late December to late March, it is winter in the Northern Hemisphere and summer in the Southern Hemisphere. Six months later, from late June to late September, it is summer in the northern and winter in the southern.
