1. 'Knock Up' - This is mixing the plaster with water.
2. 'Putting On' - The Application of plaster onto the wall.
3. 'Flattening In' - Smoothing over the plaster with a light trowel.
4. 'Floating' - Going over the plaster with a wet sponge float.
5. 'Trowelling up' - The plaster is wet slightly with a brush, and trowelled again.
6. 'Hard Trowel' - with very little or no water; another trowel.
There are many different techniques used by different plasterers but this is a pretty common one. Some variations include a second coat, alongisde a second 'Flattening in'.
There are also waits between each stage. Mainly between 3 & 4.
Solid plastering is the occupation of covering surfaces and producing a finish ready for painting. There are several methods including but not limited to; Sand Finish - cement based product that is "floated" then "sponged" to produce a flat and sandy finish
Balloon angioplasty is the procedure to flatten the plaque in a partially blocked coronary artery.
It should reflect the cost of plastering PLUS 3-4 hours for removing and re-fitting toilet appliances.
