An "alternative perspective" might be one which does not proceed by lines converging to a disappearing point (s) or to a virtual infinity. It might be what one observes of oneself in a distorting mirror, or It might just be a pompous and verbose alternative way of expressing "a different point of view" (ie like this?) Here, the Romans probably got it right in the first place as PERSPECTIVE is derived from the Latin "per spicio = to see through it !
