In 'the Saga of Darren Shan' (A series of books written by Darren Shan) the Vampaneze are sworn enemies to the vampires, cousins in fact. They were vampires who broke away from the clan and claimed themselves a new race (vampaneze) because of different beliefs, such as the vampaneze find it honourable to drain the blood of humans and kill them, vampires drink small amounts and let humans live. The vampaneze are the evil vampires if you will, though they only appear that way due to the misleading image of Murlough (a mad vampaneze), The Vampaneze Lord and the War of the Scars. The vampaneze have purple skin and red hair, eyes, lips, and fingernails. This is a side effect due to drinking a lot of blood. The vampaneze are first mentioned in Tunnels of Blood and become a main part of the plot throughout the rest of the series.

Vampeneze is a potent garlic-based repellent that can repel vampires due to garlic's aversive properties. Vampires are known to have an aversion to garlic, which can weaken and discomfort them. Overall, vampires should avoid vampeneze to prevent potential negative effects on their well-being.
Vampires should avoid sunlight as it can be fatal to them. They should also stay away from garlic as it is believed to repel vampires. Additionally, vampires should avoid crosses or religious symbols as they are often considered a deterrent to their powers.
Nosferatu, Vampyr, Children of the Night, the Un-dead, Night Stalker, are just a few. ----- Blood-sucker, leech, or I call them Viream (vee-ree-ahm) when I don't want someone to know what I'm talking about. It's a made up term, so it's not official or anything.
