Nothing really, its just pretty rare especially to other games like platinum, diamond and pearl. Its just a shiny gyarados
Red Gyarados should be catchable in heartgold/soulsilver like in the original gold/silver series. Itt should be caught in the lake most northern of the johto region. hope this helps you. =)
gyrados ,and if you can get it,red gyrados.happy to help!
No, there are no underwater routes in Pokemon HeartGold or SoulSilver. The HM Dive is not available in Pokemon HeartGold or SoulSilver.
you aren't supposed to defeat the red gyarados, you're supposed to catch it
You need to transfer Kyogre over from Pokemon Emerald/Sapphire, or trade Kyogre to your game from Pokemon HeartGold. If you trade the Kyogre to your game from HeartGold, you can talk to Professor Oak with the two of them in your team to get the Jade Orb, allowing you to catch Rayquaza where you found the other two.
Here are two ways to get Shiny Gyarados (Red Gyarados):Trade the Shiny Gyarados from Pokemon SoulSilver/HeartGold that you have gotten in the Lake of Rage to Pokemon Diamond.Fish or swim in the area where Gyarados spawn vastly. However, this is the longest way to do it, because the shiny rate is 1/8192. I'd recommend trading from SoulSilver or HeartGold.
after meeting lance and defeating team rocket and the red gyarados
Obtain the "Red Scale" from the Red Gyarados and take it to Mr. Pokemon. (the man you receive the Mystery Egg from at the beginning of the game)After you beat or catched the red gyarados, you get a red scale. You can trade it for a exp share by Mr pokemon!
Yes it is. In fact, it is the only 100% guaranteed Pokemon to be shiny.
You can't just go to a place and get shiny pokemon. The only set shiny is the red Gyarados in the Lake of Rage.
after you have caught the red gyarados go to Mr Pokemon's house on the road to violet city and trade the red scale for an exp share
there is no red gyarados. its just a shiny Pokemon and its red. not a huge thing
To get a red Gyarados in Pokemon LeafGreen you first need to catch a shiny Magikarp. This shiny Magikarp will be able to evolve into a red Gyarados. This is due to the red Gyarados simply being the shiny color of Gyarados.
Red Gyarados has no advantages over regular Gyarados. Red Gyarados is a shiny Pokemon, which has a different appearance but has identical stats to regular Gyarados.
In The lake of Rage in Soulsilver/Heartgold
You can catch red Gyarados anywhere because red Gyarados are only shiny but are extremely rare.
You must get the red scale from the Red GYARADOS in the lake of RAGE where leader Pryce is. Then take the RED SCALE to the Pokemon PROF. He will give you an Experience share in return
