Regardless of what some might try to assert that it means "this" or "that", the Iron Cross is simply and blatantly a symbol of White Power and Nazism. There was a time before the rise of Adolf Hitler that it was a medal within the German Army (among others), and it was awarded to officers and pilots for various reasons ranging from bravery to outstanding military service. Hitler quite simply raped the purity out of the symbol, just like he did with the swastika and the Norwegian rune alphabet, and it is now forever associated with; The Third Reich, The Holocaust, and most of all hatred. The fact that people this day in age, such as Jesse James with West Coast Choppers, use the symbol outside of an obvious racial meaning means nothing. It still means the same thing at the end of the day, and with him as an example, it truly does in that he uses the symbol more so due to it's association with the outlaw biker community who use and wear the symbol, along with SS Bolts, swastikas, and other representations of hate. Even if the biker himself is not necessarily a racist, a lot of them wear the symbols for their shock value...but it still means the same thing.
