In my past experiences, finding local "starving artist" sales and little craft fairs are easy ways to sell..you could also go to smaller unique shops in some cities and some wil buy them from you.

It truly depends. For example some very famous artist like Vincent van gogh his paintings sell for millions of dollars, but when he was alive he only sold one painting and that sold no where near a million dollars. See what I mean! But my aunt who is an artist makes enough to live, she is not rich, but she is comfortable.
