Yes. It is a high compreesion engine so you may need to use a breaker bar (or improvise so you have more leverage). Also turn it left then right to ensure torque converter is not what is locking up.
NOT SURE IF 2000 IS THE SAME A 1998 BUT IT SOUNDS LIKE THE SAME PROBLEM. I HAVE USED AN OFFSET BOXED END WRENCH TO REMOVE THIS TOP BOLT. REMOVE AXLE NUT SO HUB ASSEMBLY CAN BE PULLED OUT WHILE LOOSING BOLT.IT IS NOT EASY BUT NOTHING ON A TAURUS IS =Answer = 9/26/06 Remove lower ball joint bolt use big pry bar and take ball joint stud out of lower control arm remove drive axle nut and push axle back get a socket on all bolts no problem whole process takes about 1/2 I had the same problem what you can also do is take the other two bolts off then turn the sterring wheel towards the side that your working on and use a small socket with a small extencion its also not easy but it helps a lot turning the sterring wheel
This could be caused by worn out ball joints, worn out constant velocity joints (if equipped), bad wheel bearing, worn out steering linkage, loose wheel nuts, cracked rim, worn out sway bar bushings or end links. Most of these are pretty serious, you need to have them checked ASAP. Losing a wheel at highway speed, which some of these can lead to, sucks, trust me I've seen it happen.
How is the price of a bar established?
Stabilizer link = Sway bar link in old guy speak There is a metal bar called a sway bar that runs from side to side on most cars. It is attached to the suspension to the bar by links in most applications Some light trucks mount the bar to the axle and link to the frame from the ends of the bar.
A handlebar can be considered a simple machine because it allows the user to exert force at a distance from the pivot point (fulcrum), enabling a lever action to amplify the force applied when turning or steering. This leveraging effect helps in controlling the direction of movement with less effort.
undo the hub nut in centre of wheel it is very tight so a long bar required. Undo the balljoint so the the strut can move freely and then just pull on the hub and the shaft will pop out of the transmission depending on the shaft you will have to undo the bearing carrier but this is on the long shaft not the short one.
Wheel and axle
You mean big nut on axle? Smack the shaft smartly on the end then try a breaker bar for added torque.
2.5 bar front wheel and 3 bar back wheel.
If you have a four wheel drive I suggest first that you go get a owner repair manual but in order to change to four whell drive with a locking hub depending on the vehicle you must turn the metal bar on the center shaft of the wheel hub. that is the locking mechanism. + you may have one or more other things to do so go pay the thirty dollars for the book before you break the front transmission. or wait for a better answer.
The Cam shaft sensor or crank case sensor is right behind the passanger side tire. You can get to it from under the truck of you can reach it through the passanger wheel well. It may be dificult to remove. I had mine break off and had to use a drywall screw and a pry bar to get it out. The senors are also kind of touchy and might need to be replaced a couple of times. Good luck and I hope this helps

Son of Shaft - By the Bar Kays sounds really close. Theme from S.W.A.T. - By Rhythm Heritage
remove the air intake box for ez access to the steering shaft ,remove the plastic cover over the universal joint from the shaft to the steering box. Next remove the one bolt joining the two. use a pry bar to separate then push back the steering shaft. I used one of the longer used cables to tie the shaft in an up position ,no need to extract shaft fully. Go in through the flap of the wheel well to extract the old spark plug.
