There seems to be a correlation between the use of my cars by my son and the demise of my transmissions. I am told this is just coincidence..... maybe.
I do know though that transmissions wear out over time. They die because of dirt in the fluid (that is why I do not change fluid ever! It increases the change of getting contamination in fluid.)
Putting the wrong fluid in destroys them. Heavy trailer loads wear the bands out faster also.
Hard use, such as joy riding is hard on the transmission also..... Hmmm, maybe there is a reason the transmission go bad in my cars when my boys drive them.......

After a while, white wine can deteriorate in quality.
They are so different it's like the difference between night and day. Most manual transmissions have a single dry friction clutch disk. Whereas an automatic uses several wet friction clutch packs- each used together/in combination under hydraulic pressure to obtain the different ratios of the transmission. Go to the Library and read books about them. Though automatic transmissions are more fascinating than manuals because of their complexity, the stick is more fun to drive.
Because most people go to meet that person they have been chatting with and can go missing, tormented or murdered Chat rooms are in the top 10 reasons teens go missing. And lucky if their body is found because most criminals/sex offenders use chat rooms to meet ( usually young people ) suckers to do whatever with them. This is fact.
