yes,it can be purchased from the dealership. It is purple in color and has a lifetime warranty so if you use something else i believe Toyota can void the vehicals warranty if you used anything but genuine Toyota coolant when it comes to any problems relating to the cooling system.

In 1975 no manufacturer was really recommending a particular coolant. So any good quality antifreeze will do as long as that is all that is in the system. Don't mix coolant types
i am currently having a over heating problem with my vw golf mk1 - my new thermo switch is not getting the fan to come on ( works when i short it at the switch connector) - probly a radiator block usually when a thermo switch is not functioning - i will not allow the fan to kick in it either works or it dosent
