THE INERTIA FUEL SHUT OFF SWITCH IS LOCATED IN THE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT ON THE DOOR HINGE SUPPORT ABOVE THE LEFT HAND INNER WHEEL HOUSE. Why Can't people read? This question is for RESET switch, not shut-off switch. All the posts I seem to find on reset switch, people are telling you how to hit the shut-off switch, that isn't the same. Reset switch turns it back on after the shut-off has been pushed. It's the same thing. It automatically trips to SHUT OFF the flow of fuel and you press it to RESET it.
Most of these type questions would never be asked if driver's would open their owner's manual and read. This type information is contained within the owner's manual. If you do not have one, get one. You can get one at your dealer, or you may find one at a salvage yard, in a glove box. You need the owner's manual for maintenance intervals, and other pertinent information. Why and how these seem to be lost is a mystery to me. Question after question, asked on this site that can be answered by opening this little book. I have never owned a vehicle without having an owner's manual. I also see a lot of questions that can be answered by raising the hood and looking at the placards located there. Spark plug gap is just one. Amazing!
I had one in my 87 Ford Escort. It was located in the back of the car by the spare tire well. I would never have known if I didn't look in the owner's manual. Good luck!
There is no fuel reset button on this car. Describe the problem your having. I assume it cranks, but doesn't start? BClear.
the fuel reset switch is directly behind the glove box, to reset it you just push the button on the top of the switch.
