A common symbol for lesbians is the double Venus symbol, two overlapping Venus symbols representing woman loving woman. Another symbol is the upside-down black triangle, used to distinguish lesbians in the Holocaust.

There have been several down through the years, but at this point in our culture not body modification means anything other than what the person wants it to mean. The only exception to this would be someone having "I'm a lesbian" tattooed on them or "I LOVE WOMEN". While I am not a promoter of either of these, there are people that have them. I don't recommend them because for many people they either won't want them later in life or they get them positioned in places that are susceptible to trauma.

tatu

In the 1950s some Lesbians (predominately Butches, as far as I can gather) used to tattoo a blue star on the inside or outside of their wrists -this could then be easily covered by a wrist watch.

Other lesbian symbols are the labrys (double axe head), overlapping venus symbols, and violets if you fancy something more femmey!

Check out wikipedia for other lesbian symbology, and pictures
