People always come with predictions about when the world will end...but so far they have all been wrong. The world is not going to end anytime soon.
A good example of this is Harold Camping, a christian radio host, who predicted that the rapture would occur on May 21, 2011. Members of his radio audience believed him, and made major changes to their lives, such as quitting their jobs and selling their homes because they thought they wouldn't need them. May 21st came and went, and the world didn't end.
Camping had previously predicted that the world would end September 1994. Why do people continue to believe someone who has already been wrong? I think it is because people get excited about the idea, and cling to the idea that they are living in the "end times." It makes them feel important, and perhaps they feel insignificant without it.
Eventually, yes. The sun is middle-aged about now, and when it dies it will certainly engulf the Earth, if something else doesn't destroy the world before then.
Answer2: The Bible does not teach that the literal earth will be destroyed.
Psalms 104:5 "He has established the earth on its foundations; It will not be moved from its place forever and ever."
Isaiah 45:18 "For this is what Jehovah says, The Creator of the heavens, the true God, The One who formed the earth, its Maker who firmly established it, Who did not create it simply for nothing, but formed it to be inhabited. I am Jehovah and there is no one else."

I went to Mexico about 5 months ago, it changed my life. My family and me went to the CHichen Itza and our tour guide told us the whole world was going to end was fake!
According to the Mayan calender, on December 21, 2012, their calender ends. But think about it, they're MAYANS. My Mom said "Don't believe them, Jacky. They dance weird and have multi-ancient panted faces." I didn't believe the end of the world myself. Okay, we aren't going to die on the 21st! What you saw on YouTube, on websites, what people have told you isn't true! What is going to happen on December 21, 2012...well, the future is the future.
Okay- We, as human beings, cannot predict the "ending" of the world, though it seems, some genius came up with 2012 marking the end of all life "As We Know It". No the world will not be ending anytime soon, not in 2012, 2013, 2023, or 2064. I have no earthly idea where you got 2064, but no, and you won't even be alive then, so?
There might not be a next generation. The world is gonna end in 2012. The world could end anytime- it could end today or tomorrow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
OpinionThe world will probably end in a few billion years. Some people think the world is going to end on December 21, 2012 just because the Mayan calender ended on that date. However, people just take it the wrong way as it has been proven by scientists that the planet will be around until the sun turns red.The World will end in 3 to 5 billion years because the Red Giant Sun will engulf, along with Mercury, Venus, and Mars. No one except for God really knows it when it will. However, it's possible that the World could end much sooner than expected.
