There is a temperature switch on the passenger side bottom of the radiator that has a wire connector attached to it. The switch screws into the radiator and then the wires connect to that. That switch is what tells the relays to turn the cooling fan on. If your fans don't turn and the engine is running hot you can test the switch using the following steps. 1. turn the ignition to the on position but don't start the engine. 2. disconnect the wire connector to the switch on the bottom of the radiator. 3. using a small jumper wire, jump the two wires inside the connector. If the fans turn on then you will need to replace the temp switch. If the fans still don't turn on then you will need to check the fuses, relays, and the fans themselves.

if your thermostat was bad your engine will over heat but it has nothing to do with the fan, fans are driven by a diffrent mechanism. try checking your thermostatic switch/ heat sensitive switch or sensor, located somewhere in the cooling system(radiator, engine block or thermostat housing) which is the one that tells the fan when to come on.(only electric fans)it may be faulty wiring
The superlative word of fans is most fans.
In the cooler weather we are having, they will probably take longer to come on. The side effect though has been the temperature guage spiking big time. Only spikes during city traffic, not highway. Oil is fine, radiator fluid is fine. Just those stupid fans don't ever fire up.

Hi, Do you mean the fans near the radiator or the blower. The blower is located behind the glove box. The ac fan is fixed behind the radiator on the RIGHT side. The radiator fan is fixed behind the radiator on the LEFT side. Hope that helped.
Look either at the rear side of radiator approx. 1/3 down from the top or at the thermostat housing
Look at the rear of the radiator approx. 1/3 from the top
yes
The Sensor for the fans is located on the upper right side of the radiator, ( the Passenger side).
radiator is in front off the cooling fans ,in the front of engine.
Water pump Cooling fans not coming on Radiator dirty or plugged
Air conditioning fan. Turn on the A/C and see which one comes on.
Check the thermal relay for the cooling fans.
Fans are desigend to operated with A/C and/or defroster is on also when coolant temperature exceeds 235 degrees. Perhaps vehicle is not getting that hot or sensor located at the back side of radiator approx. 1/3 down from the top is defective
It is in front of the two fans at the front of the engine.
