It's quite a process that shouldn't be attempted without the factory service manual. Basically, you need to remove the intake manifold to get to the starter. After the intake is off, it's easy to do. But the factory service manual would have all the info you need to safely and correctly remove the intake without damaging any of the delicate fuel injection parts.

They cost about $16.00 Or, go to a Public Library. Some of the Levers just pull straight out BUT if there is wiper/wash er/CruiseControl U will have 2 fish the wires down inside the steer- ing Collume.B sure the Pivot 4 the Lever is not split-IF so the steering wheel etc has 2 come apart.

The way you do it is pretty much gently. Not very slow either but in gentle way and medium fast way. But just put it back in it's place.
Never probe airbag wiring with a power probe or multi-meter unless you have isolated the circuit by disconnecting both the airbag module and airbag component. As long as you have disconnected these you will be fine.
Watch out for the airbag!
