From my personal experience with the itunes and Zune software, i would have to say the Zune software wins. You can tell the software to Sync all the songs in your collection, and when you plug your Zune HD up to your computer it start syncing all your music. You can tell your Zune to wireless sync and it connects to your computer and sync's over your internet. (your computer needs to be on to wireless sync)
No, Zune will not give your computer a virus.
Check if you turned the zune on. When this happen to me, this is what I did: Plug your Zune in to the computer. Exit out of the Zune marketplace once it pops up. Your Zune should be charging.

Don't go on Limewire, it's illegal.. I have a Zune... If you want to download videos to it you need to install a software on your computer called RealPlayer. Then after you are finished downloading that, go to your Zune software page and click "upload video" and it will show up on your playlist, then you can sync that into your Zune.
Connect your Zune and open the Zune software. If the computer won't detect the device... Go to: Start > Control Panel > Windows Firewall > Change Settings > Exceptions and check the box "Zune Wireless Sync." Then hit "okay." That should fix your problem. To sync media, open the Zune software while your Zune is connected; to charge and use the Zune, close the Zune software.
To add pictures you must have the Zune software If you do open it....Then in the top right corner there will be a settings button....Click it...Then it should take you to a screen that says video music and podcasts and pictures.....Click add folder on pictures...Then you find the folder all your pictures are in then click ok....The Software will scan that folder for whatever pictures are in it..Then will automatically add to zune library...Then you just have to click sync
