Graphic art is mainly 2D, like sketching or painting. Plastic art, I would assume is basically sculptures or other figures made of plastic.

2d art is flat it is only length and width it is only 2 dimensional, 3d is more in depth and detail to make it seem more realistic which is 3 dimensional.
2D art is art using only 2dimentional, flat. It only has a length and width.

The importance of 2D art in architecture is to give the architect a general idea and concept of what the actual 3D scaled model is going to look like. It is also used when architects are asked to come up with a concept design of a building and just sketch it out.
Two dimensional (2D) art could be a painting, or flat image. Three dimensional (3D) art could be a statue, or embossed (raised) image.
