You can take a camera in your carry-on luggage, but I can't take a camera in your carry-on luggage because I don't have your carry-on luggage. I would suggest that if you DO want to put your camera in your carry-on luggage, do NOT have any film in the camera, NOR in your carry-on, as the bag will go through X-ray and ruin the film. Pack ALL film in your CHECKED luggage. THOSE bags do not go through the same X-ray.
yes..IF you are ONLY bringing one bag it can be put in the overhead ( That is how I did it on my last airplane trip)...I did not have any stored luggage, just one carry on!!)
to add on its best to have it as carry on because Luggage packers usually throw the bags in and out of the plane which can damage or break the sensitive equipment. also because of the coolness at 40,000 feet it can damage or even destroy lenses (due to sudden pressure changes and temperature changes). so it is HIGHLY ADVISABLE to have it as CARRY ON if not a requirement for any photographer to keep it as carry on

You would have to use a Minolta SLR digital camera with a Minolta lens. However, don't automatically assume an old Minolta lens will work on a digital camera. You need to determine whether the digital camera accepts interchangeable lenses and whether it accepts the specific Minolta SLR lens and mount you have. There is no real generic answer to this question.
Kodak invented the digital camera.
Yes you can use a SLR lens as an attachment on some digital camera. You will have to check the camera to see if there is an attachment that is available on the camera.
