Many early civilizations had drawings of stick figures. Some of which include: the Mayans, the Greeks and the Egypt ions. The most famous of which are the Egyptians with their hieroglyphs on the inside of pyramids. All of the drawings in every culture were stories and descriptions of the lives of the civilizations themselves.
Early civilizations such as the Sumerians, Egyptians, and Indus Valley civilization had drawings with stick figures. These ancient cultures used simplistic figures in their artwork to convey stories, rituals, and daily life scenes. Stick figures were a common artistic depiction due to their simplicity and ease of representation.
The digging stick was likely the first important tool used to break soil. It was a simple sharpened stick used by early humans to loosen soil for planting seeds and harvesting crops.
A stick used for farming is commonly referred to as a hoe.
To tie a rock to a stick, you can use a strong rope or cord. Wrap the rope around the rock and stick multiple times, then tie it securely in place with a knot. Make sure the knot is tight to ensure the rock stays attached securely to the stick.
Clay or a form of mortar made from a mixture of mud, sand, and water were used to stick the bricks together in building pyramids. The mortar acted as a binding agent to hold the bricks in place.
Some tools used by Amerindians for agriculture include the digging stick for planting crops, the hoe for tilling the soil, and the planting stick for making holes for seeds. Additionally, Amerindians used wooden or bone tools for harvesting crops such as maize and beans.

The earliest recorded stick figures have been found in cave paintings attributed to "cave men" Scientifically speaking, cavemen can be multiple different groups. The Neanderthals of Europe, Australopithecus afarensis (the race that is known for the skeleton named Lucy from approximately 3.2 million years ago) and other species that have died out, as well as early homo sapiens are all commonly called "cave men" even though most of them did not live in caves. And many of these early hominids created paintings on cave and cliff walls, including stick figures.

Not necessarily! Stick figures are crude, but not necessarily bad drawing. They get the job done when trying to explain something.
I believe they are popular for a few reasons: • The simplicity of stick figures adds ease to basic drawing. • The stick figure is also iconic, especially in the entertainment industry. • Stick figures require less drawing skill, so anyone can make them! • They lack human-like features, so they can be modified very easily to the drawer's desire.
