It has an Electronic Rochester Quadrajet carburetor on it. It says Control on it, as well as some other stuff that I can't read. It has one vacuum line going to the bottom of the carburetor and another going to a cylindrical, black object on the passenger side near the fender. It has Tank and Carb ports on it, the cylindrical object, and the line plugs into Carb. There is another opening on the Control object that leads towards the AC, however there is no vacuum line attached to it.
That sounds like the charcoal canister. It is part of the EVAP (Evaporative) for emissions. It filters gasoline fumes from the fuel tank and burns the fumes through the engine.
