the space is there it just depends on how much work you are willing to do. to swap that engin you will need to swap the trans, driveshaft, electrical, radiator, and fuel pump, as well as a boatload of other little things.
All you need to do that swap is different motor mounts, ones that will match up to the body (1997). The motor is the same and will run but for the easiest/safest swap you should bring the ECU (the car's computer), wiring, and transmission from the 1999 donor car.
Not directly, this swap will take A LOT of modification to work. You would NOT want to use the original transmission with the newer 5.0 motor. You would at least want to put the newer model transmission to go with the newer model motor. Either way it will take A LOT of modification to achieve this swap.
No because the 5.0 was not made for the mustangs in 98. It was the 4.6, and you can either swap a 4.6 or an earlier year 5.0 but it will be time consuming and expensive. I also hope to do a swap myself.
Vvl swap
yes as long as u swap the wiring and the computer too
call me maybe 01123
NO! the mustang II has a softer front suspension that is only designed to hold a puny 4 cylinder and a 70' has a v8 unless its the I6.
Yes you can swap them. Is it a direct bolt for bolt swap? Probably not.
about 150hp. same as an '88 town car i had. you can get the mustang heads and swap them out to get about 225hp or so about 150hp. same as an '88 town car i had. you can get the mustang heads and swap them out to get about 225hp or so
They may fit with spacers, but they will not be a direct swap. You also have to consider the center bore of the wheel - they may be different.
Yes, you may have to swap the motor mounts and you will definitely need a computer, but it will fit.
