An individual who works or runs a farm or ranch is often referred to as a "farmerer." They are particularly farmers who grow corn and other produce rather than raising animals. An old urban legend states that these so called "farmerers" could only grow crops because when they used to have livestock (chickens, sheep, etc.) they would have intercourse with them. Thus, they were condemned to a life a growing strictly crops. No animals.
