Even a halal animal if slaughtered in the name of an idol, a holy man etc, that is other than Almighty Allah is also Haram. The Muslims are advised to eat Halal and pure food. Money earned by Haram means, stolen food, usury, money earned by fraud, deceitful means and food bought by Haram money is also haram.
