There's no knowing exactly. Any answer would be an estimate. You'd have to figure out all of the things kept off the market because they were found dangerous during testing, and then estimate how many people would have used them, and how many of those people would have died from their use.
A lot of guesswork at each point.
This is a good question because it is impossible to calculate lives saved because of the great number of variables, and our inability to see the future. Such questions can go both ways. Some will say that it has saved millions, others can say that they have saved few. It is impossible to say so without being biased.
animals are killed purposely so mostly killed
While the opposition's claim is true that animal testing harms animals, the lifesaving medicines that have been discovered have saved human lives. :) -Apex-
lots and lots of lives have been saved by airbags. its indeed very cool.
it is not known because it may have been started at a time when animal testing was kept a secret
All medication has been animal tested...
5 billion
Animal testing is legal because animal testing has been used to cure some of the deadliest ailments. Animals used in testing are also mostly rats and mice, who have safe, comfortable homes.
Penicillin to start with was first tested on a London policeman it nearly saved his life but they did not make enough.
many soo yeah many were saved like BILLIONS
3 lives for every 1 pint of blood
Animal Testing is a part of animal abuse. 1. Cures and diseases have been made to save human lives. Treatments to diabetes, cancer, aids, etc. would not be available if it were not for animal testing. 2. Many things that have been discovered through animal testing also benefit other animals, and not just humans. 3. Most animal testing doesn't hurt the animal. Behavior experiments are often all that happens, and the animal gets a treat for doing something very easy like pressing a button. 4. There are institutional review boards that oversee testing to ensure that the animals are treated as well as possible. If you have any more suggestions of how animal abuse is good, please edit and add more topics of animal abuse and more numbers of how it is good. I personally think animal is never good. It involves unnecessary cruelty to innocent living creatures.
