The basic rules of fishkeeping are . :- 1 inch of fish needs at least 1 gallon of water. (1 goldfish needs at least 10 gallons) :- Every tank needs a pemanently running cycled filter. :- Every tank needs to have at least 50% of its water replaced every week. Keep the fish at the correct temperature for their species and feed them morning and evening as much as they can eat in 15 minutes remembering to never let food rot in the tank. If you do all of the above then your fish should do OK. I can guarantee that failure to do any one of the above will result in your fish getting sick and haveing shortened lives.
