It is, and it will deter some rabbits. However, some rabbits (like mine) really like the taste of it, and will just lick it off. If the bitter apple spray actually taste good to your bunny, try hot sauce (mine likes the taste of hot sauce too, but it deters some rabbits from chewing).

Rabbits (especially dwarf ones) LOVE to chew on anything you leave around. In fact my rabbit is chewing on the newspaper right now. This is especially common in dwarf rabbits because of their playful behavior. Miraculously rabbits are not usually harmed by chewing right on through live wires. Trust me I've lost more than ten phone chargers. So don't worry about your buns health. I know it sound gross but it dries up nicely and works. Good luck!

are the wires extension cords? lamp cords, gotta be careful as most products are spray on and if that wire is not shielded you may cause a fire. Move the wires or extension cords out of the way, or put puppy in a safe place away from then. There are products to spray to prevent chewing, but i don't advise it on electrical wires!
