Masts need to be RIGID.
To change an electrical mast, you will need to disconnect the existing mast from the electrical service, remove it safely, and carefully install the new mast following local building codes and regulations. It is recommended to hire a licensed electrician to handle this task as it involves working with live electrical components and can be dangerous if not done correctly.

Typically, EMT (Electrical Metallic Tubing) or RMC (Rigid Metal Conduit) is used for mast electrical service installations. These conduits provide protection for the electrical wiring from damage and are suitable for outdoor applications. The choice between EMT and RMC depends on factors such as the environment, code requirements, and specific installation needs.
The front mast is called the Foremast. Sometimes it is called the mizzen mast.
It is classed as Non-judicial punishment, or to use the service term, article l5. This is one of many service practices that have no counterpart in civilian life.
