This question cannot really be answered. More information is needed. However, I have had the opportunity to collect small, gray crabs called Porcelain crabs from beneath rocks when I was a child in the San Francisco Bay Area. They aren't true crabs because they don't have 4 sets of walking legs, but they do have a nice blue-gray color to them. I have also seen engorged ticks which were slightly gray in color.
