∙ 15y agoNot if it's an aggressive species. Snapping turtles, musk turtles, mud turtles, or soft-shelled turtles are angry, mean little buggers generally and their diet is certainly going to include any readily available, ornamental fish with 'eat me' fins.
Bear in mind, goldfish can also grow very large, prefer very cold water environments, need -lots- of aeration in their water, and produce levels of ammonia that can be toxic to other animals.
Your turtle, is going to want some availability of dry surface to putter around on. They generally (regardless of species) need an area where the lighting is fairly constant and they can get a good 12 hours of UV exposure.
If you've got a properly set up environment, you could test their ability to coexist. Remember, float your fish first to allow an easy, less-stress adaptation to his new habitat. This could also be a great opportunity to safely see if your reptile gets rowdy and goes picking at the bag goldie's in. If he does, then they probably won't be happy tank mates.
