No, it is not required to take calculus in high school to become a veterinarian. However, if it is an option and you have the math skills to take calculus, it will probably help you in undergraduate where you will have to take calculus and pass it to apply to vet school. Most vet schools require Calculus I and some require Calculus I and II to apply for vet school.

The reason I would recommend taking calculus in high school if you have the math background is because taking it for the first time in high school is free and gives you at least some of the knowledge of the class so that when you take it in undergraduate and have to pay tuition you have a better understanding of the topic.
